Vascular Rehabilitation Program

Any patient with circulation problems will benefit from the Jobst Vascular Rehabilitation Program at JVC. The program is also advantageous to those at high risk for developing vascular disease, such as patients with diabetes or high cholesterol disorder or those who smoke. The program is especially beneficial to patients who have experienced the following:

- Leg pain with walking (intermittent claudication)
- Peripheral arterial disease (PAD)
- Angioplasty or stent placement
- Arterial bypass surgery

The Jobst Vascular Rehabilitation Program is designed around two primary components – education and exercise. A team of specially trained and qualified clinicians works with every patient to provide patient-specific education information about vascular diseases, nutritional requirements, exercise guidelines and practical dietary counseling, and, when appropriate, smoking cessation.

Educational classes are regularly scheduled at a wide variety of convenient times. Supervised exercise sessions are held two days per week in the Jobst Vascular Rehabilitation exercise facility. A customized program is designed for each individual based on age, ability, medical condition and prognosis. Patients leave the program confident in their ability to exercise safely at home, yet knowledgeable about any restrictions that may apply.

For more information or to refer a patient, contact the Jobst Vascular Rehabilitation office, 419-291-2080 or send an email.
