Vascular Nursing
A key factor to nursing success is the collaborative decision-making role between physician and nurse. Through this relationship, quality cost-effective vascular care is provided to the patient. The professional nursing practice at JVC highlights this relationship with a wealth of clinical experience and the professional credentials necessary to best serve our patients.

The scope of nursing practice at JVC varies from clinical practice, to promoting education, to conducting research in vascular nursing. JVC's nursing practice is led by a clinical nurse specialist who guides the center to establish standards of nursing care, manage cases through pathway development, provide nursing education, and conduct nursing research.Vascular care coordinators are experienced vascular nurses who work with the vascular surgeons to provide quality care for the vascular patient. They provide patients with coordinated care from the office setting, through testing, admission and discharge, and back to home.

Angie Link, BSN, RN, Clinical Research Coordinator, monitors transcutaneous pressure of oxygen (TcpO2) in patient's leg for a current research study.

Clinical Research Coordinators are nurses trained to implement clinical research trials. These nurses are experienced in managing all aspects of a clinical study, including patient care coordination, patient education, research data collection, and marketing.

The Vascular Rehabilitation Program nurses are experienced in providing the vascular patient with risk factor identification and modification, supervised exercise sessions, patient education and community health education.
