Jobst Vascular Laboratory

Jobst Vascular Laboratory is a comprehensive, noninvasive vascular laboratory accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories that provides a full range of services by certified vascular technologists. Because JVC conducts national award-winning research in noninvasive diagnosis and serves as a test site and development center for new technology, it is often among the first to receive the newest diagnostic technology.

Over 18,000 examinations are performed annually at Jobst Vascular Laboratory, including:
 
  • Duplex ultrasound to examine the blood flow in major arteries and veins of the extremities
  • Computerized plethysmography to measure changes in the blood volume of an extremity
  • Transcutaneous tissue oxygen monitoring to measure the oxygen level of tissue beneath the skin
  • Extremity blood pressures for evaluation of arterial and venous obstruction

Jobst Vascular Laboratory provides training for ultrasound technologists for The University of Toledo, Jackson Community College and other hospitals, as well as postgraduate education for other laboratories throughout the region.
