Attended Vanderbilt University in Tennessee for his undergraduate education and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York
Returned to Vanderbilt University Affiliated Hospitals for his surgical residency, completed his fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota and became a Fellow, American College of Surgeons in 1985
During his service in the U.S. Army, Dr. Gale was a Platoon Leader in Vietnam and earned the Army Commendation Medal
Practiced as a General Surgeon for two years prior to completing his Fellowship in Vascular Surgery
Specialties are stroke prevention, aneurysm repair, limb salvage and noninvasive diagnosis of vascular disease.
