Obtained his medical degree from the University of Illinois in Peoria in conjunction with the St. Francis Medical Center. Remained at St. Francis Medical Center for the first part of his surgical residency before pursuing a Surgical Critical Care fellowship at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan
After concluding surgical residency, completed his Vascular Surgery fellowship at the Geisinger Medical Center/Thomas Jefferson University in Danville, Pennsylvania
Areas of special interest are aneurysm repair, limb salvage, and venous diseases
Married and has three children. Hobbies include refurbishing old Volkswagens, photography, bicycling, and camping
