James Stanley, MD, FACS from UM with Caroline Jobst and Hugh Beebe, MD, FACS at UM/Conrad Jobst Vascular Research Laboratories dedication.

The Jobst Vascular Research Fellowship is sponsored by the original endowment from Caroline Jobst Reimann and provides an opportunity to conduct original research on subjects related to the etiology and treatment of vascular disease. The fellowship program has grown from its original single appointment in 1992, to two fellowship opportunities, one each appointed by the director, Jobst Vascular Center, and the head, Section of Vascular Surgery, University of Michigan Medical School.

Fellows work closely with vascular surgeons and research scientists from both Jobst Vascular Center in Toledo and the Conrad Jobst Vascular Research Laboratories at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The Conrad Jobst Research Laboratories are among the nation's finest molecular biology, biochemistry, and experimental surgery laboratories devoted to the study of vascular disease.

Fellowships are offered for one year beginning in July, and any physician or medical student with interest in vascular disease may apply. Selection is based on academic records, interest in vascular disease, and intensity of commitment.

Since its inception, the program has sponsored eight fellows:
