JVC Vascular Registry

Research activities of the Jobst Vascular Center at The Toledo Hospital, Toledo, Ohio, will impact the care of patients with vascular disease into the next century.

    Research milestones include:

  • Leading the largest trial ever of non-operative, medical therapy for claudication (painful walking due to leg artery blockage).
  • Pioneering follow-up methods by ultrasound monitoring to improve the results of leg artery bypass grafting.
  • Studying control of aortic aneurysm by medication without surgery.
  • Developing novel methods for venous surgery by minimally invasive, endoscopic techniques.
  • Improving methods of carotid surgery to prevent stroke.
  • Developing endovascular procedures and devices to improve care of aortic aneurysms and reduce length of stay.
